- Categories : Recipe

It's Christmas again?

Every year, the anticipation of Christmas salt grows, and not just at SAL de IBIZA. More and more of you love the Special Edition "Feliz Navidad" as much as we do and can hardly wait to refine your favourite recipes with this red and white fleur de sel. And when we manage to push the stress out of the door to allow peace and quiet to return, the pre-Christmas period is simply the most wonderful time.

We come together to eat and do everything we can to spoil our friends and families. The kitchen becomes the most important place and the oven the centre of the action.

That's why Christmas salt with its Christmassy, spicy, hot-sweet and nutty flavours is a must. You can use it to reinvent your favourite recipes and give them a new twist.

Fleur de Sel "Feliz Navidad" Christmas Salt

Six spices that make all the difference.

The slightly salty flavour of fleur de sel is complemented by sweet, fruity notes of orange and pomegranate blossom. The fine Bourbon vanilla gives the Christmas salt its soft caramel character and the mace blossom brings out the flavour of cinnamon, honey and cloves. Sweet and tart, the tonka bean is reminiscent of almonds. Finally, a pinch of chilli refines the Christmas salt and makes it spicy.

It makes the inside of our white ceramic pot glow in a rich orange-red colour.

A little exoticism completes savoury, light and sweet dishes.

Hand-scooped fleur de sel with its exotic ingredients turns your Christmas menu into a secret recipe. Admired as a "finishing salt" on a starter or in a traditional game or lamb dish - this Christmas salt from SAL de IBIZA always impresses with its mixture of fruit, sweetness and spiciness. Or let yourself be enchanted and convinced by our fantastic dessert recipe for these brownies.

Christmas salt deserves the name "Feliz Navidad" because it does good.

Because Christmas is not only a celebration of love, but also a celebration for children, we have entered into a cooperation with Save the Children Deutschland e. V. with the special edition of the Christmas gourmet salt "Feliz Navidad" to support children in need.

With every pot of salt, we donate €1 to Save the Children Deutschland e.V.

Save the Children is the world's largest independent children's rights organisation. For over a hundred years, it has been working to make the world a better place where all children can live safely and grow up self-determined.

With many local projects, the NGO endeavours to provide children with the best possible care and appropriate protection in their own family or environment. All children worldwide should have access to healthcare and disadvantaged children should also be able to participate freely in educational programmes.

Here you go! "Kate's brownie recipe with fleur de sel "Feliz Navidad".

When our Cosmopolitan Girl Kate from the sales team served us her brownies in the office, it was clear: this fantastic chocolate bomb has what it takes to be immortalised in this blog. She gave us the recipe and you'll see that it tastes amazing and with the Christmas salt it's a little chocolate wonder that's just a little bit addictive... Thank you and enjoy, Kate!

The secret: it's not salt, but our Fleur de Sel Special with Christmas spices from SAL de IBIZA that makes the difference.

Maybe it's the highlight of your festive meal, or maybe you'll serve the little brown bits with your coffee. One thing's for sure, anyone who tries it will want the recipe IMMEDIATELY! ¡Aquí lo tienes!

These are the ingredients:

375 g butter

375 g dark chocolate, preferably our SAL de IBIZA organic chocolate with 70% cocoa content.

6 large eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

500 g sugar

225 g flour

1 tbsp fleur de sel Christmas salt "Feliz Navidad" from SAL de IBIZA

Rectangular baking tin approx. 33 x 23 x 5 cm

You can easily prepare the brownies in this way:

Preheat the oven to 180°C, grease the tin and line the base with baking paper.

Carefully melt the butter with the chocolate in a bain-marie. It must not get too hot, the chocolate should remain shiny. At the same time, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until frothy. Beat for 3 minutes and set aside.

Then sieve the flour into a measuring jug and add 1 tbsp of the good SAL de IBIZA Christmas salt and mix well.

When the butter and chocolate mixture has cooled a little, carefully fold it into the egg and sugar mixture. Then stir in the flour with the Christmas salt and finally pour everything into the baking tin and smooth out.

Bake in the oven for approx. 25 - 35 mins. When the surface is firm and has formed a few bubbles - it should not be too brown - the mixture should still be moist and sticky on the inside. Tasting is allowed.

Once the brownies have cooled, it doesn't hurt to put them in the fridge for a few hours. Trick: They are then easier to cut.

The connoisseur demonstratively places the white ceramic pot of Fleur des Sel Christmas salt on the table and treats the brownies to a pinch of our Christmas salt and disappears forever into chocolate heaven.

iFeliz Navidad!
